VIBE

 

I believe the way in which interior spaces are designed can make an enormous contribution to the quality of life for people with a visual handicap.

 

Therefore, in my final year I have decided to design a shopping centre for the blind and visually impaired called VIBE (Visually Impaired Better Environment). I believe that blind and partially sighted people should enjoy full access to the world around them, especially being able to shop for goods and services in ways that meet their particular needs while making shopping an enjoyable experience.

 

By researching various conditions of visual impairment I aim to break unnecessary barriers and help visually impaired people shop freely and independently as well as create a unique design solution that benefits everyone.
